False Alarm at Seba Beach Wednesday

Wednesday, April 3, 2019 - Fire Services were dispatched to Seba School in response to a fire alarm at approximately 4:30am on Tuesday April 3, 2019.

Parkland County Fire Services and Parkland School Division's Facilities Services responded to the alarms and quickly determined that it was a false alarm as a result of a damaged heat sensor. The building was all clear for day of learning which also included Grade 6 - 9 students from neighbouring schools as part of the West End CTS Options.

Shortly after the regular school day begain, the alarm went off again and staff and students at the school were evacuated for precautionary mesaures. The heat sensor was subsequently replaced and daily activities resumed.

Thanks to all the students and staff, the fire department and PSD's Facilities Services for such a great response.
