Monday December 9, 2019 - It is with mixed emotions that Parkland School Division’s Superintendent of Schools, Shauna Boyce, makes the following administrative announcement. Brookwood School Acting Principal Diane Lefebvre is set to retire after almost 40 years with Parkland School Division. Diane’s last official day will be January 5, 2020.
“We wish Diane all the best as she begins the next chapter in her life,” stated Superintendent Boyce.
“The students and staff at Brookwood School have benefited from Diane’s unwavering commitment to her profession, her compassion for all learners and loyalty to every staff member she’s ever worked with. She will be missed.”
An Acting Principal will be announced shortly to serve while Principal Terry Caouette remains on leave.
Diane Lefebvre’s entire teaching career has been with Parkland School Division. Her first year teaching was when Muir Lake School opened in 1980. She taught primarily Grade 5 and Grade 6 for 10 years before beginning her administrative career, also at Muir Lake School. She made the move to Brookwood School in 1998 where she’s enjoyed the role as Assistant Principal, Inclusive Education Lead, and most recently, Acting Principal.
